The Division from Ubisoft saw its first free content update on April 12, 2016. While the game still has its fair share of problems, especially when it comes to the PvP side of things, this patch did fix some of the more glaring problems.
Foremost among these changes was the addition of end game content. Ubisoft delivered this in the form of what it calls Incursions.

The incursion has you and a group of up to three other people party up and try and take on a super hard mission. Upon completion, you are awarded special gear which also launched. Coming to the gear, they added four new legendary gear sets along with a few named high end weapons. Each armour set grants specific boosts that compliment a particular style of play, and there is a whole slew of innovative ways to mix and match these armour sets.

Ubisoft and Massive also fixed a ton of bugs, glitches and exploits that players were using to farm up loot at an absurdly high rate. Moreover, to draw the emphasis away from crafting, the developers increased the base amount of raw materials to both craft high end materials as well as goods significantly. To balance this nerf, they have also increased the drop rate of high end loot.

While the incursion update is a very welcome change, the incursion itself feels like a bit of a letdown. It basically involves your group taking on horde after horde of bullet sponges, while intermittently making a dash for the APC to try and blow it up. It feels like a lost opportunity, and something that Massive and Ubisoft need to sort out fast otherwise the future for this “MMO” looks bleak.
