If this rumour takes shape, then the revamped iPhone SE could be Apple's gateway to the mid-range smartphone segment. (photo: 2016 iPhone SE)

The iPhone SE may not be the greatest, nor its Apple’s latest, but studies have shown that the iPhone SE has topped the most recent American Customer Satisfaction Index data for May 2017. The data has stated that the customer satisfaction rating for the iPhone SE is 87 out of 100, putting it 1 point ahead of the iPhone 7 Plus and Galaxy S6 Edge+.

The ACSI procured its data from 36,194 customer reviews during the 12-months ending in April 2017. The data from those customers was then evaluated through ACSI’s “cause-and-effect econometric” model, which assigns a rating to user comments and responses for an overall score out of 100 possible points.

While the iPhone SE sits at the top, the iPhone 7 Plus is just a point behind sitting with the S6 Edge+ at 86 out of 100. Seeing the iPhone SE at the top is interesting because the SE was not Apple’s most high-end smartphone, but the satisfaction survey shows that is not important, but rather how the device satisfies the needs of the user.

If you are an iPhone SE user, do you agree with ACSI’s rating? Do let your notions in the comments below.
