Instagram brings in a new Superzoom camera effect
The new effect is expected to make live sessions more dramatic.
Instagram has been introducing lots of funky features since its Facebook acquisition. The app has become more than just a social media app focussed on images, with live photos and videos. This is the reason why more and more celebrities are taking to Instagram rather than any other platform to reach out to their fans. Now, there’s another new feature to help them express themselves more dramatically.
Called Superzoom, the feature is essentially a camera effect that will do a dramatic 3-step zoom for videos. The feature is rolling out to all Android and iOS users, and is available as an option in the Live camera mode, next to the Boomerang option. Users will able to use Superzoom for feeds from the front as well as rear camera.
While effect takes place, Instagram will apply a dramatic background music to enhance the impact of the effect. You will also be able to add texts and stickers on the end product as well. Once the effect is applied, you can share it as live video or send it in the form of a personal message to your contact.
If you are not yet seeing the feature on your Instagram camera, then don’t worry — the update is slowly rolling out to users across the world. While this is just an effect, it could be exciting enough for some to use it regularly and make their timeline an interesting place.
