Honor 8 Pro launched with 6GB RAM for Rs 29,999

An image posted on Weibo claims to reveal the V9 Mini revealing the rear panel of the smartphone. The smartphone looks identical to the Honor V9 or the Honor 8 Pro. The smartphone seems to have the same metallic body with a dual camera setup on the back alongside an LED flash. The fingerprint is also on the rear panel with the Honor branding down below.

Honor has unveiled its latest flagship smartphone – the Honor 8 Pro. The premium smartphone from Huawei’s online-only brand competes in the affordable flagship category and has been priced at Rs 29,999.

The Honor 8 Pro is built on the Kirin 960 chipset, which is an octa-core unit with four cores clocked at 2.4GHz and four cores clocked at 1.8GHz. There’s 6GB of RAM for handling multi-tasking and 128GB of onboard storage, which can be expanded up to 256GB of storage. The Mali-G71 includes support for the Vulcan graphics, computes API (application programming interface) and boosts graphic performance up to 400 percent. Honor 8 Pro is supposed to run the most demanding games at high frame rates with minimum lag and dropped frames. The smartphone runs on EMUI 5.1 built on top of Android 7.0 Nougat.

The Honor 8 Pro sports a 5.7-inch 2K LTPS LCD display. There’s a 12+12MP dual lens sensor with a monochrome sensor for capturing details. To power these flagship specifications, the Honor 8 Pro comes fitted with a 4000mAh battery with support for fast charging. There’s also USB Type-C along with 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphone will come in black, blue and gold colour shades.
