Another iPhone 8 leak shows a bezel-less display

Over the last two months, various concepts of iPhone 8 have been creeping up on the web. The major design concept that all the leaks talk about is a Galaxy S8 inspired front display panel with a top bar for holding sensors and camera lens. There’s another leak from Slashleaks that has surfaced, showing the same concept in a slightly different angle.

The front panel has thin bezels and a sensor bar at the top. There are no curved edges to the sides, like the Galaxy S8. There’s also no fingerprint housing at the front, which means that either Apple will be moving the fingerprint sensor to the rear panel or will be employing the highly anticipated under-the-screen scanner.

With the help of narrow bezels, Apple can offer a bigger screen to body ration in a chassis that has almost the same dimensions as the one of the existing 4.7-inch model. So it’s a bigger display in a smaller phone, which for Apple users who want to stick with the original iPhone is an offer they can hardly refuse.

It is also expected the iPhone 8 could be featuring an iris scanner similar to the Galaxy S8, which explains the reason for the top sensor bar on the display. This doesn’t necessarily mean that Apple is giving up on Touch ID, as existing speculation has claimed that the new fingerprint sensor would be integrated into the display screen.

However, there’s still a lot of time for the official unveiling of these devices, so we prefer to take these with a pinch of salt.
