Threads Introduces Use Media Option to Reshare Photos, Videos

The Use media option will allow users to reshare the photo or video directly to a new post where they can add their own text but the image or video will be credited to the poster.

The attribution to the original post on the top of the left of the image, indicated a post on Threads.

Instagram head Adam Mosseri announced the feature on Wednesday in a post on threads. “We’re rolling out a way to reshare photos and videos from posts you see on Threads, while crediting them to the original poster. This is a quick, easy way to add your creative takes to trending images and clips without quote posting,” he said.

To access this option, you have to long press any media or tap on the repost icon.

Mosseri said that the feature is rolling out to all Threads users.
