It has been a season of postponing and bringing releases forward in Tollywood. On Thursday too, there was hectic activity as some filmmakers brought their release dates forward while others postponed them.

Akhil’s debut film Akhil, which  was supposed to be released on October 22, has now been postponed and the new date hasn’t been announced.

“Due to delay in graphics work v r unable to release AKHIL on Oct 22nd..sorry for the delay..will announce the new release date soon..sorry,” tweeted the film’s producer Nithiin.

However, insiders say that the real reason for postponing the film’s release was to give a longer run to Ram Charan’s Bruce Lee, which released on Friday.

Meanwhile, Varun Tej and Krish’s Kanche, which was supposed to be released in November, is now coming on October 22 as a Dasara special.

“Kanche is all set to entertain you this Dussehra. October 22nd release!!” tweeted Varun Tej.

Anushka’s Size Zero is releasing on October 27 while Kalyan Ram’s Sher is scheduled for an October 30 release.

It’s set to be a hectic few weeks in Tollywood with many small films too set for release.
