Soni Razdan’s directorial debut Love Affair, which is being produced by Pooja Bhatt, will now go on the floors early next year. The shooting of the film was to start in June this year, then was pushed to November and now, we hear that the film will finally start early next year. Reason? Pooja Bhatt is finishing her other production Cabaret first. Apparently, the film required certain specific weather conditions and therefore could be shot only during these months.

A source close to the development said, “Pooja wanted to finish Cabaret first as that was always on the cards. The fact that it needed certain specific locations and weather conditions made it not-so-flexible. She just wants to finish one project before she can start another.”

Ali Fazal, in the meantime, will start shooting for Anand L. Rai’s Happy Bhaag Jayegi as he didn’t want to waste his dates initially allotted to Love Affair.

The film is a fictional portrayal of the 1959 Nanavati case. Gulshan Devaiah will play the Naval officer KM Nanavati, Kalki Koechlin will be seen as his wife Sylvia and Ali as her paramour.
