Confirmed! Rajnikanth, Akshay Kumar's 2.0 is set to release in April, 2018

Mumbai: There is finally an official confirmation about the release date of Rajinikanth’s much-awaited ‘2.0’. The film that stars Akshay Kumar in the pivotal role of an antagonist is now slated for April 2018 release.

Lyca Production issued an official statement on the release of the film. The release read, “Lyca Productions – Superstar Rajinikanth – Akshay Kumar – Shankar magnum opus SciFi action thriller 2.0 to be screened worldwide on April 2018. Nation’s costliest 3D film starring Superstar Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar, Amy Jackson, directed by Shankar, music by AR Rahman. The high-tech post production works are fully geared and the team is all set for the release schedule.”

While the initial plan was to release the science-fiction film on Republic Day next year, the makers decided to change the dates as the Bollywood star’s Padman will also hit theatres on January 26.

Meanwhile, the film’s recent audio launch in Dubai has created a great deal of buzz around the grand film.
