Kochi: Actor Dileep, who is out on bail in the actress assault case,  on Monday moved the Angamaly court against the “leaking” of the supplementary chargesheet to the media. The actor, eighth accused and facing conspiracy charges, submitted a petition in this regard before the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court, Angamaly, when he reached the court at 3.30 p.m. to collect his passport.

According to sources, the petitioner  requested the court to seek an explanation from the Special Investigation Team  citing that the leaking of the contents in the chargesheet at this stage would “affect the final verdict in the case.” The move comes days after the SIT approached the court seeking to prevent the chargesheet contents being discussed in the public domain, especially through the media.  Earlier on November 22, the SIT had submitted the additional chargesheet which arraigned Dileep as eighth accused in the case.
