Prakash Raj's absence irks filmmakers
The makers of upcoming film Goodachari are waiting to hear from him on the dates.
It looks like, of late, senior actor Prakash Raj has been putting filmmakers’ patience to test. It is believed that the 53-year-old troubled the makers of Rangasthalam and was one of the main reasons for its delay.
According to a source, “He called the production house and told them that he is coming for the shoot. So the makers then rushed Aadhi Pinisetty (from Chennai), Ram Charan, Samantha and the others to the set, where they kept waiting. But Prakash didn’t turn up and they ended up wasting money and other actors’ time too.”
Even the makers of upcoming film Goodachari are waiting to hear from him on the dates. “The film has been completed except for Prakash’s scenes. Three days of work is pending and whenever he gives the dates, the remaining film will be shot,” says a source from the unit.
Notably, the actor has eluded his commitments several times in the past as well. He inconvenienced the units of both Bharat Ane Nenu and Mahanati. The makers of Mahesh Babu’s film even wanted to replace him but couldn’t because they had already filmed a couple of shots with him.
On the other hand, the Mahanati team tweeted about his unreasonable absenteeism in a more satirical way. “Tough to get him on sets.. but once here, no Caravan, no playback, no break. #legendary #prakashRaj #somuchtolearn #mahanatisets (sic),” read the post.
