Did Karthikeya mess up Naga Chaitanya's film?
Nagarjuna, too, watched the film on the edit table and said that the screenplay was not up to the mark.
Naga Chaitanya’s latest film Yudham Sharanam has not been receiving great reviews. Though the action-thriller has been produced by Sai Korrapati of Eega fame, S.S. Karthikeya — S.S. Rajamouli’s son — made most of the decisions pertaining to the project. In fact, a source reveals, Karthikeya was the executive producer and was involved in co-directing some of the scenes. Further, Krishna Marimuthu, the debutant director, is a friend of Chay and Karthikeya.
“This film’s story had been doing the rounds at various production houses for a long time and finally reached Sai after Karthikeya recommended it. Both Sai and Rajamouli are good friends, so the producer didn’t say ‘no’,” says a source, adding, “Even Nagarjuna watched the film on the editing table a few days before it released and said that the screenplay was not up to the mark.”
Another fact to be noted is that Rajamouli tweets his opinion after watching every film, but he has not posted anything about Yudham Sharanam. So probably, his silence implies that he is not impressed with the film.
