Shooting for special songs is fun: Kyra Dutt
''The costumes, song-making process, ambience, etc., give me a high.
After her impressive act in Paisa Vasool, Kyra Dutt will next sizzle in a special song in Ego. Ask the actress what prompted her to be part of a special number, she replies, “The filmmakers approached me a few months back for the number. I guess they were fascinated with my dance moves in my earlier films (smiles). I was excited with the peppy track, which has got a lovely mood.”
The actress adds, “It’s a fusion song and I sport flashy costumes. Shooting for special numbers has always been fun. I love dance and music, and whenever there’s an opportunity I get excited. I would have been a singer, if not an actress. The costumes, song-making process, ambience, etc., give me a high.”
This is her second solo special song after Boochade Boochade from Race Gurram. Ask her what’s her fascination with special songs, the actress replies, “I believe it’s the song that will first attract and draw the audience to the theatre. Sometimes even if the film doesn’t do well, the song still gets acclaim.”
About her Telugu skills, she says, “I am picking it up slowly; I can now understand conversations on the sets. In fact, I can even sing a complete Telugu song.”
