Minor riding bike dies in road mishap

Hyderabad: A 14-year-old Class X student, who worked part-time at a hotel, died in a road mishap early on Wednesday. The victim, Padlavat Charan, was riding along with his hotel coworker when an auto rammed into their bike on Keshavagiri at around 6 am. Charan, the only son of Nagu Padlavat, who has an elder sister named Vaishwali Padlavath, was working in a hotel to support his family apart from studying, according to the police. Charan, who was riding the bike, succumbed to injuries, while his coworker Mohammed Sajid, 21, suffered multiple fractures and is undergoing treatment at OGH.

Charan, a resident of Morram Bavi, was studying in a private school. He was employed at a hotel in Charminar owned by B. Swamy. At 7.30 am, Charan’s father, Padlavat Nagu, received a call from the hotel owner, Swamy, who informed him that his son had met with an accident and was in a private hospital, Chandrayangutta police stated.

Police arrested the auto driver, Islawath, and seized his auto. A case of culpable homicide under Section 304A has been registered against the accused driver. The victim’s body has been shifted to OGH for post-mortem examination.
