1 killed, 6 hurt as car goes out of control in Vetapalem

Vijayawada: One person has died while six others were injured when two cars collided on the Pandillapalli Bypass Road in Vetapalem town, Bapatla district on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Sirisha (29), a resident of Kanigiri in Prakasam district.

The deceased's car was going to Kanigiri from Bapatla when it went out of control and veered onto the other side of the road. A car going to Chirala from Pandillapalli hit the deceased vehicle, Vetapalem SI G. Suresh Kumar said, adding that the six injured persons were shifted to the government hospital in Chirala for treatment.

A case was registered and investigation is on.
