Allagadda MLA hands over Rs 10 lakh to girl who lost family

Kurnool: Allagadda MLA Bhuma Akhila Priya on Monday visited 15-year-old Prasanna in Chinnavangali, Chagalamarri mandal of Nandyal district, who lost her parents and siblings in a house collapse and handed over an ex-gratia of `10 lakh. The MLA added that an additional `2 lakh also would be provided to Prasanna’s grandmother Tallapureddy Nagamma for the minor girl’s upbringing.

The girl, a class 10 student, had lost her father Tallapureddy Gurusekhar, mother Dastagiramma and sisters Pavitra and Gurulakshmi in the tragedy that left her the only survivor in the family. The MLA also said that IT minister Nara Lokesh had promised full education for the girl at the NTR School. During the visit, Akhila Priya also urged the residents to inform the authorities about any dilapidated houses in advance, especially during the rainy season.
