VIJAYAWADA: The NTR district commissioner of police (CP), SV Rajasekhar Babu, transferred 53 circle inspector (CI) rank officers under the district police commissionerate jurisdictions. An order to this effect was issued late on Friday night.

In Vijayawada city, the I Town, II Town Patamata and Governorpet station house officers (SHOs) D Durga Sekhar Reddy, Tippa Ganesh, DKN Mohan Reddy and DV Ramana were transferred to Eluru range while Machavaram SHO B Gunaram was sent to VR.

In the traffic wing, CIs M Krupanandam, Nunna Raju, G Durga Prasad, R Vijay Kumar and B Venkateswara Rao attached to V, IV, III and I traffic police stations, respectively were shifted to Eluru range.
