AP High Court Grants Anticipatory Bail to RGV

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh High Court on Tuesday granted anticipatory bail to film director Ram Gopal Varma. The court also directed him to cooperate with the investigation.
The controversy arose during the release of his film Vyooham in October 2023, when Varma posted the film's posters on the microblogging platform 'X.' A complainant, M. Ramalingaiah, alleged that the posts appeared to insult Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and Minister Nara Lokesh. Similar cases were registered in Anakapalli and Guntur districts.
