Korba-Visakhapatnam Express catch fire, passengers safe

Visakhapatnam: Three AC coaches of the Korba-Visakhapatnam Express caught fire on Sunday morning minutes after the train arrived at Visakhapatnam railway station.

The fire first broke out in the A1 coach, prompting passengers to raise an alarm and it later spread to B6 and B7 coaches. As the train was already halted at the railway station, the officials with the help of fire services department carried out fire fighting operation. The prompt action taken by the officials prevented flames from spreading to other coaches.  
Railway officials then assisted everyone in evacuating the passengers from the train safely. 
The Railway officials are collecting more details from the staff to ascertain the reasons behind the mishap.
