MP Kesineni Pushes for More Sports Complexes in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath (Chinni) urged the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) to develop additional sports complexes to enhance training facilities for athletes. Chairing a review meeting at the municipal office with Vijayawada East MLA Gadde Ram Mohan Rao and VMC commissioner H.M. Dhyanachandra, he stressed creating infrastructure to support budding sports talent.

Sivanath directed officials to establish two football courts in each assembly constituency and assured financial assistance from the Centre for these projects. MLA Rammohan Rao highlighted issues such as drinking water and drainage problems in hilltop areas and Krishna Lanka Karakatta, urging swift resolutions.

Dhyanachandra instructed officials to address these concerns and prioritise public welfare initiatives. Senior officials, including additional commissioner Dr D. Chandrasekhar and Chief Engineer R Srinath, attended the meeting.
