TIRUPATI: On the occasion of Teachers' Day, students of Gummalladibba ZP High School in Kovur town of Nellore district boycotted classes and staged a protest demanding the removal of a teacher who reportedly failed to teach lessons. During the protest, they alleged that a dedicated teacher named Sai was transferred to Nellore under a work adjustment scheme. And, another teacher - Sunil, who allegedly sleeps during class hours and behaves inappropriately with students, remains at the school.

The protesting students argued that it was unfair to retain Sunil while transferring Sai. They expressed their frustration, stating that despite lodging complaints with the headmistress, no action was taken to address the issue.

The students said that they would continue to boycott classes until Sunil is removed from his position. Parents of the students also joined the protest, showing solidarity with their children's demands.
