One dead, two injured in road mishap

Tirupati:One died and two serious injuries after two motorcycles collided head-on near Ponthala Cheruvu on the Kadapa Road in Piler mandal on Wednesday.

According to sources, two individuals, Suhail and Javed, were riding from Kalakada to Piler, while Abdullah was travelling from Piler to Chinnakampalle on another bike. The crash happened at the Ponthala Cheruvu crossing, injuring all three riders.

Local residents rushed them to Piler Government Hospital, but Javed (30) succumbed to his injuries. The other two were transferred to S.V.R. Ruia Government General Hospital in Tirupati for further treatment. Piler SI Bala Krishna has filed a case, and further investigation is underway.
