Lab technician dies in road mishap

A 28-year-old lab technician died on the spot while his friend suffered critical injuries after an autorickshaw hit their bike at Jubilee Hills Checkpost in the early hours of Tuesday.

According to Jubilee Hills police, an autorickshaw hit their bike at 6 am when K. Santosh, a pillion rider, his friends Kale Chandrashekar, 28, who was riding the bike, and Kamka Dharmaji, 27, were on their way to Izzathnagar from Begumpet.

While Santosh and Dharmaji suffered head injuries, Chandrashaker escaped with minor injuries. Santosh died on the spot while Dharmaji is undergoing treatment in a private hospital, and his condition is said to be critical. Based on a complaint lodged by Chandrashaker, police have registered a case and reportedly taken the auto driver into custody.

Santosh, a native of Kamareddy, worked as a lab technician in Reddy’s Labs, his friend Dharmaji works as an X-ray technician at a private hospital and Chandrashekar works with OLA as an executive engineer, police informed.
